2022-2023  Winter Programs offered in MA & RI 

Looking to play at a higher level?

The goals of Lead the Way Seasonal Field Hockey Clinics are to provide consistent training, improve participant’s skills, and provide a high level of coaching in a more competitive environment. Seasonal clinics are offered to athletes ranging from 1st-12th grade and will be offered in several locations in RI, and Southern MA.

Practices are one time per week and are held indoors or outdoors. Programs are 6-10 weeks in length and are a pipeline to LTW Club Teams. Player’s enrolled in seasonal clinics may be evaluated and placed in the LTW Club program at any point during the year.

Youth Clinics

The goal of the youth program is to provide an opportunity to introduce field hockey in a fun and supportive environment. Programs are for the beginner to intermediate player and are offered seasonally throughout the year. The winter clinics will be held indoors on astrograss. Each practice session will include basic fundamental skills, small game play and fun competitions.

Middle School Clinics

The goal of the middle school clinic is to provide consistent training and teach the fundamental skills of the game in a fun and competitive environment. Through repetition of fundamental skills, girls build a strong field hockey foundation preparing them to play at the next level. Practice sessions will include 1v1 skills, passing and receiving and shooting. Each session will include coached scrimmages. Programs are offered to athletes ranging from 5th-8th grade, beginner to advanced players. Participants will be grouped according to their age, playing experience, and current skill level.  Beginner to advanced goalkeepers are encouraged to register and must provide their own equipmen

Each Middle School program will offer advanced training and/or general training (beginner), during registration players may select either option.

Southern MA location 

LTW Winter Middle School Session Won Sport, Seekonk, MA

This session will have an advanced and general session offered

LTW Winter WON SPORT ADVANCED Middle School Session, Seekonk, MA 

This session is specfic for Advanced Middle School Players that have a strong skill foundation  

Practice Location: Won Sport, Seekonk, Ma  

Adivance Middle School Session  Only 

Practice Day: Sunday 

 

Dates: Jan 15, Jan 29. Feb 5, Feb 12, 19, 26 March 5, 12

 

Time: 10:30 to 12  (8 sessions 1.5  hour block) 

 

Cost: $425 

Session Requirements: 5th- 8th graders (experienced 5th graders are welcome to enroll in the High School session). Players will be grouped by experience and skill. Catering to all levels from the beginner to the more skilled player

LTW Winter Middle School Session General or Advanced, Teamworks, Warwick, RI 

Southern RI Location    

Practice Location: Teamwork, Warwick, RI   

Practice day: Tuesday 

 

Dates: Nov 15, 22, 29, Dec 6, 13, 20  Jan 10, 17, 24 and Jan 31 

 

Time: 4:00  to 530  (10 sessions 1.5hour block) 

 

Cost: $395

 

 

High School Clinics

The goals of our high school clinic are to provide consistent training and to teach the fundamental and advanced skills of the game in a competitive environment. Through repetition of fundamental skills, girls build a strong field hockey foundation preparing them to play at the next level. Practice sessions will include 1v1 skills, passing and receiving, hitting, reverse skills and shooting. Each session will include coached scrimmages. Programs are offered to athletes ranging from 9th-12th grade, beginner to elite players. Participants will be grouped according to their age, playing experience, and current skill level. This program is well-suited for players unable to commit to the LTW club program, but aspire to improve their skills. Beginner to advanced goalkeepers are encouraged to register and must provide their own equipment.
