2022 Spring Programs offered in MA & RI 

  

Looking to play at a higher level?

The goals of Lead the Way Seasonal Field Hockey Clinics are to provide consistent training, improve participant’s skills, and provide a high level of coaching in a more competitive environment. Seasonal clinics are offered to athletes ranging from 1st-12th grade and will be offered in several locations in RI, Southern MA and the North Shore, MA. Each location has a drop down with specifics offered at each location.

 

Practices are one time per week and are held indoors or outdoors. Programs are 6-8 weeks in length and are a pipeline to LTW Club Teams. Player’s enrolled in seasonal clinics may be evaluated and placed in the LTW Club program at any point during the year.

 

 

Youth Clinics

The goal of the youth program is to provide an opportunity to introduce field hockey in a fun and supportive environment. Programs are for the beginner to intermediate player and are offered seasonally throughout the year. The winter clinics will be held indoors on astrograss. Each practice session will include basic fundamental skills, small game play and fun competitions.

WON SPORT 

LTW Spring Youth Session Won Sport, Seekonk, MA 

Practice Location: Won Sport Seekonk, MA 

Practice Dates:  April 27, May 4, 11, 18, 25 June 1 

Time: 5:30 to 6:30   

Cost: $165 


Session Requirements: 1st-5th graders (experienced 5th graders are encouraged e to enroll in the Middle School session). Players will be grouped by experience and skill. Catering to all levels from the beginner to the more skilled player
 

 

 


Rhode Island locations 

LTW Winter Youth  WWS NK,  RI 

Southern RI Location    

Practice Location: WWS North Kingstown    

Practice Day and dates: April 12, 26 May 3, 10, 17, 24 

Time: 4:30 to 5:30  (6 sessions 1  hour block)

Cost: $165 

 

Session Requirements: 1st-5th  graders (experienced 5th graders are welcome to enroll in the Middle School session). Players will be grouped by experience and skill. Catering to all levels from the beginner to the more skilled player

Middle School Clinics

The goal of the middle school clinic is to provide consistent training and teach the fundamental skills of the game in a fun and competitive environment. Through repetition of fundamental skills, girls build a strong field hockey foundation preparing them to play at the next level. Practice sessions will include 1v1 skills, passing and receiving and shooting. Each session will include coached scrimmages. Programs are offered to athletes ranging from 5th-8th grade, beginner to advanced players. Participants will be grouped according to their age, playing experience, and current skill level.  Beginner to advanced goalkeepers are encouraged to register and must provide their own equipment.

LTW Spring Middle School Session Won Sport, Seekonk, MA 

Practice Location: Won Sport Seekonk, MA 

Practice Dates:  April 27, May 4, 11, 18, 25 June 1 

Day: Wednesday 

Time: 5:30 to 7:00 

Cost: $245

 

Session Requirements:  5th-8th graders: Players will be grouped by experience and skill. Catering to all levels from the beginner to the more skilled player

Southern RI Location    

Practice Location: WWS North Kingstown    

Practice Day and dates: Tuesday, April 26, May 3, May 10, May 17, 24, 31 
Time: 430 to 6  (6 sessions 1.5  hour block) 
 
Cost: $245
Session Requirements: 5th-8th graders (experienced 5th graders are welcome to enroll in the Middle School session). Players will be grouped by experience and skill. Catering to all levels from the beginner to the more skilled player

High School Clinics

The goals of our high school clinic are to provide consistent training and to teach the fundamental and advanced skills of the game in a competitive environment. Through repetition of fundamental skills, girls build a strong field hockey foundation preparing them to play at the next level. Practice sessions will include 1v1 skills, passing and receiving, hitting, reverse skills and shooting. Each session will include coached scrimmages. Programs are offered to athletes ranging from 9th-12th grade, beginner to elite players. Participants will be grouped according to their age, playing experience, and current skill level. This program is well-suited for players unable to commit to the LTW club program, but aspire to improve their skills. Beginner to advanced goalkeepers are encouraged to register and must provide their own equipment.  

 

Southern MA & RI High School Clinics will be announced by April 1, 2022
