2019-2020 Fall & Winter Programs in Southern MA Location

RI & Southern MA locations are lead by LTW Head Coach: Cara Reese (former Wheaton College Head Coach)

The goal of the clinic is to offer consistent training and teach the fundamental skills of the game in a fun and competitive environment. Through repetition of fundamental skills, girls build a strong field hockey foundation preparing them to play at the next level. Practice sessions will include individual skills,importance of vision, 1v1 defense, passing and receiving,scoring tactics and skills. Each session will include coached scrimmages/small sided game play. 

 

Youth Clinic (8 weeks) 

The goal of the youth program is to provide an opportunity to introduce field hockey in a fun and supportive environment. Programs are for the beginner to intermediate player and are offered seasonally throughout the year. The winter practice will be held indoors on astrograss. Each practice session will inlcude basic fundamental skills, small game play and fun competitions.

 

Southern MA Location 
Location: Won Sports (formerly Sherwood Sports) 1314 Fall River Ave, Seekonk, MA
 

Youth Program 6 sessions (1 hour)  (Session is closed) 

Dates: November 11,18, 25, Dec 2, Dec 9, & Dec 16  

Time: 4:30pm - 5:30pm   

Cost: $175

Requirements: 1st-5th graders, beginner to advanced players welcome
 

Middle School Program Offerings

Practice sessions will include 1v1 skills, passing and receiving and shooting. Each session will include coached scrimmages. Programs are offered to athletes ranging from 5th-8th grade, beginner to advanced players. Participants will be grouped according to their age, playing experience, and current skill level. Goalkeepers are encouraged to register and must provide their own equipment.  
 

Southern MA Location

Dates: November 11,18, 25, Dec 2, Dec 9, & Dec 16  (session is full) 

Time: 4:30pm - 6:00 pm   

Cost: $255 (6 1.5 hour sessions)

 

General Training Session Requirements:  6th-8th Graders (experienced 5th graders are welcome) Players will be grouped by experience and skill. Catering to all levels from the beginner to the more competitive and skilled player.

 

Middle School Advanced Training Session Requirements: 6-8th graders, intermediate to advanced players plus 5th graders with experience may register. Players need atleast 2 season of experience and be ready to learn more advanced skills.  Goalkeepers always welcome

Time: (6:00 pm- 7:30 pm ( Session is full)    

Cost: $255 (6 1.5 hour sessions)

High School Programs

The goal of our Lead the Way High School Field Hockey Programs are to provide consistent training and to teach the fundamental and advanced skills of the game in a competitive environment. Through repetition of fundamental skills girls build a strong field hockey foundation preparing them to play at the next level. Practice sessions will include 1v1 skills, passing and receiving, hitting, reverse skills and shooting. Each session will include coached scrimmages. Programs are offered to athletes ranging from 8th-12th grade, beginner to elite players. Participants will be grouped according to their age, playing experience, and current skill level. This program is well-suited for players unable to commit to the LTW club program, but aspire to improve their skills. Beginner to Advanced Goalkeepers are encouraged to register and must provide their own equipment.

Dates: Sunday afternoons Dates Jan 5, 12, 19, 26, Feb 2,9, 23, March 1
Time: 3:00-4:30
Cost: $365

 

HighSchool Training Session Requirements: 8th-12th graders, beginner to advanced players plus 8th graders with 2 or more years experience may register.

 

HighSchool Advanced Training Session Requirements: 8th-12th graders, intermediate to advanced players plus 8th graders with varsity experience may register. Players need at least 2 season of experience and be ready to learn more advanced skills. Goalkeepers always welcome
